REQUIRED:  Valid NYS teaching certificate in Students with Disabilities Grades 1-6
 

QUALIFICATIONS

DESIRED:        

1. Experience with integrated co-teaching in an older elementary classroom.
2. Prepare lessons and other instructional materials according to the individual achievement and levels; appropriate goals established within their Individualized Education Program.
3. Oversee and follow IEP recommendations, Behavior Plan development, reinforcement systems, sensory integration, communication plans and other individual student support plans consistently with fidelity across all classroom staff.
4. Collaborate and implement student supports.
5. Proactive collaboration between classroom team, related service providers and administrators.
6. Effective communication across students, staff and parents.
7. Commitment to ongoing professional learning, growth and development
